Looking Innocent is truely an art and when done correctly you can pretty much get away with anything, just asy Bella. We have often heard, since Bella is soooo sweet and can con anybody she meets, how did we get such a prefect little pup. Well we just giggle (the kind of giggle that comes from years of life with a dog that is not only clever and devious, but very easily can out smart you at any turn she wishes).

It's not to say that our Bella isn't the most wonderful little girl, but lets just say she can be naughty with the best of them and after 12 years, the qusetion is more like what hasn't little Miss. Naughty Bella done.
The short list: stole everything and anything (Bella motto: What is mine is mine, what is your is mine.), eaten every and anything (many trips to the vet), chased cats (and sorry to say, killed one, yes my girl is a killer), destroyed books, belts, rugs, quilts, chairs and anything else you can think of, jump through one of our windows to get to a squirrel (on Thanksgiving of all days - no stores open to repair the window) and even started a fight between two other dogs so that she could steal their toy (sometimes she's just a little too smart).

Though, the naughtiest (or funniest, cause when you have a weime Bella you just have to laugh) was when we came home one day and she greeted us at the door with a chewed up container of Mink-oil, she had open the cabinent (there is nothing she can't open, including any kind of door), found and ate it.

After calling the maker, poison control, our vet, friends, family and anyone else we could think of, we rushed her to Dr Hyatt (one of her vets).
Now you have to understand that by this time, Bella had challenged Dr. Hyatt's genius many, many times over (her file she the size of War & Peace, no joke, but that's another story) and that to have a silly weime show up with her chewed up victim (she had worked hard for that container damnit and was not giving it up) and to have that 'Im' so proud look what i did' look. Anyway, after he had got through laughing his head off (by this time we all knew there was nothing piosonous in it) he brought out the largest syringe of Kaopectate and charcoal that i have ever seen. We then had to try and squirt this nasty blacker than black concoction into her month and get her to shallow it (not an easy task with a crazy weime) Scott was volunteered to help hold the Bella monster with an assistant while Dr. Hyatt tried to get the concoction into a very not so pleased weime's month. It took about an hour and before it was all over Bella, Scott, the assistant, Dr. Hyatt and pretty much every surface in the office was covered completely with this horrible black nasty mess (and no it didn't wash out). I think she only shallowed maybe a teaspoon or two. Now just picture three grown men and a smiling weimaraner sitting the middle of a room with this stuff everywhere, covered with this super black gooey yuckiness.
Non the less, no runs or upset tummy, just nice hard blacker than night poops. I think she still to this day looks for that container and i know she thought the whole mess was funny and still giggles to herself, i know we do. After all, you just have to know that she's a little freaking comedian.

Oona weights a pound and some change, we Bella found her she was only 17 oz. so she's definitely growing like a little weed. Her markings have gotten really defined and even more beautiful.

Oona practicing for Halloween, doing the spooky cat thing. She really starting to love to play and be all goofy, she does this thing we call the ninja chop where she will lie on her back and chop at the air with her front feet. It's very funny, silly cat.

Had to sneak this photo of little Miss. Princess sleeping while we were painting. Sometimes when she sleeps she will curl up into these little balls with all her feet up by her nose - it's soooo adorable.It's funny, even when she was a puppy, when she would sleep we would tippy-toe around or just not move (if you had to pee, you crossed your legs and did the peepee wiggle) so we would distrub her because she is so beautiful when she sleeps (of course when she was a pup, she was a holely terror but that's another story).Anyway, just Bella doing one of her jobs - looking precious on pink.

Oona is really starting to look like a real cat now (not the freaky little alien that she was when we found her). It seems like her body is catching up with her huge head and her markings are starting to show more.
We're hoping that she keeps her big, beautiful blue eyes and man, she knows how to use them already - see the "aren't i so innocent & sweet " look. We know she's been practicing and watching Bella do it.

Oona is such a silly little kitty, she loves to be held and will lie on her back so that you can rub her belly. She'll roll over with her feet in the air and just stare at you with a kind of come hereth look. It's very silly and sweet and being dog people we are use to a pup doing something like this, but a kitten?
Hmmmm....figures we would wind up with a kitty that acts like a dog, hehe, we love it (and we think she knows it to, look at her eyes - she gets you with those blue eyes).

We finally decide on a name - Oona - means 'One' & it is Celtic/Gaelic in origin. Thank again for the great names, Oona just seem to fit, plus "The Adventures of Oona" just has a nice ring to it kind of like "It's all about Bella" - Bella's blog by the way.

It's been 5 days since we found her and we still haven't decided on a name, we are very close though. Your suggestions are great which has made it even harder, but we are going to decide tonight. It's just hard because we really want her to have a special name to match her wonderful personality. She's super sweet, loves to be held and will crawl into your lap as soon as you sit down.

As crazy as it is, it seems that our wonderful Bella doesn't really mind her new little sister. We are being very careful and Bella gets lots and lots of love time, which she loves anyway. We do double time so Bella knows she's our number one (always will be, can't help it, we just love, love, love our Bella).

As you can tell, being dog people, we don't know what to name our new little kitty cutie. We are pretty sure she a Ragdoll kitty and we thought we might open it up for anyone out there that might have a suggestion for a great unusual name. Maybe something short, different and for a girl.

Bella and Noname are getting along pretty well together. Bella just stares at her and Noname stares back, we make sure that one of us is always loving on Bella at the same time as the other is loving on Noname.
Right now Bella will have to watch Noname from a distance (Noname is just too small). We've never had a kitty before (we're both major dog people) so this is a totally new thing, we had to go buy her kitty litter and small kitty litter box, kitten food (Wellness Kitten) and some very small toys.

Whenwe found her she must of had a million fleas crawling all over her. It was horrible and being that she probably only 4 weeks at most we couldn't just put flea stuff on her.

So we gently washed her and picked each and every flea off of her (dipping them in detergent water, not Noname just the fleas so they pop) one at a time. It took us roughly about 2 and half hours, the whole time our wonderful Bella sitting beside us watching concerned. She never moved nor barked and Noname didn't fight or meow.

Bella's little resue...

We were in our backyard wednesday night and Bella started really going crazy around our back shed and looking underneath we found this cute little thing. We think she was left behind by one of the way, way too many wild, stray kitties that live in the city (so many asshole people drive into the city and dump the unwanted, like i said assholes).
Anyway, she definitely was the runt of her litter and we guess just left behind. She definitely would not have lived (it completely poured right after we saved her.

She doesn't have a name yet...we've been calling her "No-NAM-ee" for now, think japanese pronunciation...i know we'll get her a better name, but you see who likes Gwen's Patagonia atom bag! She takes after her big sister Bella, only the finest things in life.

Oh, and if anyone is worried, Bella is still and ALWAYS will be the center on our lives, she won't lose a single drop of love. Bella is even worried about her new little sister (see pervious post.

Taking a break to give a little smile for the camera, it's hard to tell but her favorite toy of the day is her little round sheep. It makes the funniest noise when she goes crazy shaking and throwing it all round.

We had our close friends Bill & Michele over before they leave (sucks, they'll be gone for three months). Bella was soooo excited to see them (she did a little Bella dance for them when they arrived). We drank wine, ate, played molecuball (of course! Bella must be center of attention) and talked till the wee hours.
Bella didn't make all night, but still had to be the center of attention even after falling asleep.

She's always watching, even when you think she not.
It's funny, we could be painting and her sleeping on one of her beds (or so you think she's sleeping). You may even hear a little Bella snore, and you think 'Oh, i can get us some wine or something'. You quietly move, tip-toeing to make sure you don't make a noise, there's even music or a book on CD for cover, but then the eyes POP! open and you are busted. The Bella monster knows you are up to something and there's no escape. The love toll must be payed! Silly humans.

Sorry for the blur, but Bella was way to excited to stay still. You see, one of her silly humans (Gwen) went out of town this past weekend and she really, really miss her. Being the velcro dog that she is, she likes to have both her peps with her at all times, one is not enough.

Even though i sleep in my girl's spot on the bed while she is away, sit on my boy's foot while he paints and generally follow my boy everywhere he goes so that i know where he is at all times (don't like those silly humans leaving my control). i am sooooo excited and happy my Gwen is home!

You see one of Bella favorite games to play even when she was the tiniest of little pups has been hide-n-seek.
Sometimes it's her that does the hiding; under sheets or a blanket (she's always loved having herself completely covered including her head) and she loves it when you look under the sheets to find her, that's when you get all tongue and the more you giggle the funnier she thinks it is.

The other way she likes to play hide-n-seek is when one or both of her silly humans hide. She gets all excited and you can hear her running around the house, barking and looking through everything and everywhere to find whomever is hiding. She always knows when the game is afoot and she will always find you. heehee, silly weime

Bella loves this toy and i must say i could sit and watch her playing with it all day. The toy is like three balls fused together with a small hole in the middle. The idea is that you can put small treats in it and your dog will knock and chase it around to get the treats out. Bella, being smarter than the average bear, figured out that it's much easier to pick it up and walk over to one of the silly humans in the house and throw it against the human (no matter where they are in the house or what they are doing. Bella rule #2, of course is what Bella is doing is way more important than what either of the silly humans are doing, this rule comes in a close second to Bella rule #1 - What's hers is hers, what's yours is hers.).
This gets two results, first a treat almost always falls out and the silly human is then obligated to sit and roll the molecuball back to her everytime she rolls it to you. Like i said, the girl is smarter than the average bear. She's figured out how to make it easier to get the treats out, get a silly human to play with her, be the center of attention (she has been known to do this at our small parties so that everyone winds up sitting on the floor around her rolling the molecuball back to her as she rolls to to different people. It's like wieme spin-the-weime with molecuball & bella kisses) and make everyone laugh all at the same time.
Just remember if you come over, you might just have molecuball duty, it will definitely make you laugh, beside this is Bella's house remember rule #1.

Ok, so here's the silly little story of Bella's found sculpture of shoes.

As anybody that is lucky enough to share their life with a crazy little k9 knows, there are many little weird and out there things that our little better halves tend to do. One of Bella's strange little quirks that she does when we are out is that she will go and collect right shoes. Yes, just the right, never the left, we aren't sure what it is about right shoes that she likes so much or rather what it is about left shoes that she doesn't like, but she has done this since she was a pup-pup and she has never chewed or destroyed a pair of shoes yet (nor anything else for that matter except for a Toulouse-Lautrec book and we aren't sure what it is about Toulouse that she didn't like, but she can be a bit of an art critic at times).
Anyway, one of her favorite things to do with the right shoes that she collects is create interesting little stacks or patterns with them. She doesn't always do the collecting of right shoes and make these weird little sculptures, it's really rather a 'whenever she gets the bug' kind of thing. We (the silly humans, who are too easily amused) call them Bella's found object sculptures. The funniest is when she picks up a right shoe and carries it around and even sleeps with it. The shoe is then hers until she decides you can have it back and if you try to trick her with a left shoe she will turn nose up to it. Left shoes are just not her bag, man. She is a silly little thing and definitely smart enough to know the difference between the left and right shoes.

Someone has been bad while we were out. Little Miss Bella, always a strong willed girl and always one who can open any closed door, decided that she should be in the bedroom on the bed while we were out and tried to open the bedroom door with her nose (look closely and you can see the redness).
It's not that we care whether she gets on the bed or not (our bed is her bed, Bella rule: what's her's is her's, what our's she her's), but that when we aren't there it's just safer for her not to be jumping up & down off the bed without us being there to help her. Anyone with an older puppy can understand i'm sure, she's just not as strong as she use to be. The problem is little Miss. Houdini here, has always been able to open any door no matter the handle or closure, plus if you just simply block off the door then she will move whatever it is in the way and then open the door. So we are always having to come up with new ways of keeping her from opening the door and trust me, it's hard work trying to out smart a Bella weime (and i do mean HARD WORK!, she smarter than the two of us put together).

Oh and don't worry, she has two really nice beds in the front room and studio, they are just as nice as her bed and our bed in the bedroom (twin futons folded over with Urban Sprawl® dogbed on top with soft cover and pillows. Yes, she's a pricess, spoiled and we are crazy) The problem is she just wants to go where she can't.

She's still the cutest little thing i've ever seen and as you can see, she's never been shy of the camera.
She's our little girl and the center of our world (and knows it too). She makes us smile and laugh and is the most incredible dog i've ever known (and better than 99% of the people too). Just saying "I love this dog."
